Ever since Cassius released “My Feeling For You” in 1999, It’s had a very special place in my heart. I love the video where the fictional “Captain Cassius” (heavily influenced by 1960s cartoon hero Space Ghost, pic below) saves the dancefloor.
But the track also features a wicked good sample, Gwen McCrae - All this Love That I’m Giving, check it out!
But the reason why it got into this long blogpost about this now it because I just recently heard another song that contains the same sample.
Swedish house DJ Avicii has made a collaborative effort with Sebastien Drums in their “My Feelings For You”. Is this just an updated version of the Cassius hitsong or is this something new. Have a listen to it, which one do you prefer?
